GoBill Mobile (SellQuick) - The mobile POS that's tailor-made for your business - Part 2/3

GOFRUGAL GoBill Mobile, the mobile POS has some interesting customization options which you can make use of to make this application tailor-made for your unique business needs.

Here’s what you can choose to customize in the app:

1. User-wise favorites
2. Categories
3. User permissions
4. Bill prints
5. Display modes
6. Languages
7. Location-wise inventory

In this announcement, we will see 2 other key customization options from the list above.

3. User permissions
User permissions are key to managing many structured enterprises. Providing the users with only a certain set of permissions and restricting them from some in the software is what user permissions are all about. You might be familiar with these user permissions in RetailEasy software and the same is applies to GoBill Mobile as well.

GoBill Mobile users can be permitted or restricted from giving item discounts, bill discounts and can also be restricted from changing the selling price during the time of a sale. Passwords can be set for item discounts and a user can be restricted to doing a sale with only certain tender types (like due bill only sale or cash only sale).

Please note that these permissions have to be fixed in the GOFRUGAL RetailEasy server and the same gets reflected in GoBill Mobile. Try these out by going to Tools-> Configuration-> Security Manager in RetailEasy. Select the ‘Menu Configure’ option across any user, provide the necessary permissions for that user and save the changes. Once synced, these changes will reflect in GoBill Mobile.

4. Bill prints
Being handy and highly portable for a billing counter, you can take maximum advantage of GoBill Mobile’s portability by pairing your GoBill Mobile device with pocket printers. These pocket printers can either be wired or wireless Bluetooth ones. To maximize the efficiency of these pocket printers, GoBill Mobile supports custom 2-inch and 3-inch bill print profiles which can be mapped based on the printers.

Alternatively, one can also completely get rid of exclusive printers for GoBill Mobile and raise printouts in the printer that is connected with the RetailEasy Server. Please note that both GoBill Mobile and RetailEasy servers should be connected to the internet in order to take printouts from the server printers for GoBill Mobile bills. Here’s how you map the RetailEasy server printer to the GoBill Mobile application:
In GoBill Mobile, go to Settings-> Printer Settings-> Target Printer. Select ‘None’ from the list of printers mentioned and close.
