How to map Data to Barcode?

Barcode Data Mapping
Barcode Data Mapping is a technique for mapping the data in the form of barcode. These mapped barcode data are printed on sticker through the Barcode Printer and scanned through the Barcode Scanner.
In RPOS 6, you can configure and map the data for different fields through the barcode data mapping. You can configure the Barcode by any of the methods given below
  • PRN Profile - PRN is a text file where you can insert different field valued based on your requirement. These fields get mapped and printed in the barcode sticker. The PRN profile is provided by the Barcode Vendor.
  • Easy Print Tool - Easy Print is a tool to design the print the bill with different formats. It is used for designing and printing barcode stickers. You can export and import the designed profile.

Steps to Configure Barcode Data Mapping (PRN Profile)
  1. Click Tools > Configuration Manager > Device Settings.
  2. The Device Configuration screen is displayed, click Peripheral Settings.



  3. Click Barcode Data Mapping.
  4. The Peripheral Settings [Barcode Data Mapping] is displayed.



  5. In the Select File Name field, click folder icon to select the text PRN profile.
    Note: The PRN profile is provide by the Barcode Vendor based on the Barcode required by customer.



  6. In the Bar Code field, enter the BarCode as is in PRN profile.
    Important Note: The content in the Barcode Data Mapping and PRN profile should be same.



  7. In the Item Code field, enter the ItemCd as is in PRN profile.



  8. In the Product Name field, enter the ProductName as is in PRN profile.



  9. In the Selling Price field, enter the Rate as is in PRN profile.



  10. In the Batch Number field, enter the Batch as is in PRN profile.



  11. In the Packed field, enter the PDate as is in PRN profile.



  12. In the Quantity field, enter the Qty as is in PRN profile.



  13. In the Expiry Date field, enter the EDate as is in PRN profile.



  14. In the No of Sticker Per Row field, enter the number of sticker that you want to get print.
    Note:
    • Enter the values that you want to get printed in the sticker for each section.
    • Enter the field that you want to display in the PRN profile.



  15. In the BarCode Mapping Validation field, press SPACE BAR to select.
    Note: It is recommended to select the
    BarCode Mapping Validation to validate the fields as in PRN profile.
  16. Click Save.



  17. A message Do you want to save current changes? is displayed. Click Yes.
  18. A confirmation message is displayed. Click OK.



  19. Click Exit to close the screen.
  20. A message Do you want to exit from this section? is displayed. Click Yes.
