Purpose :-

Contactless Dine In is a modern approach to dining that uses QR codes and digital platforms to minimize physical contact and increase safety, efficiency, and convenience. Customers can scan the QR code to access the menu, select their choices, and place an order which is sent directly to the kitchen. Payments are made digitally, eliminating the need for handling cash or debit cards. This system is becoming increasingly popular for both customers and restaurants.

Pre-requisites :-

Contactless Dine In is a concept that provides a safe and seamless dining experience for customers, while minimizing physical contact and maximizing safety measures. To successfully implement it, restaurants need a robust technological infrastructure, a well-trained staff, a comprehensive menu and pricing strategy, and an effective marketing and communication strategy. With these pre-requisites in place, restaurants can provide a safe and satisfying experience for customers, encouraging loyalty and repeat business.

Steps need to be followed :- 

Step 1: To start with the Contactless Dine-in, the configuration has to be enabled

Go to Settings->Configurations->Sales Configurations - Enable as Yes under Enable contactless dine-in

 

Four updates to be done in the Digital Menu

1. Menu - Create the Menu to be displayed

2. Menu Location - Choose the respective location and the menu that will be displayed for the location

3. Menu v/s item mapping - Map/Include the items with the categories to be displayed in the digital menu

4. QR code generation - A bar code will be generated based on the Location, Order type and Table which enables a customer to scan the code and view the menu

 

 

 

Step 1: Menu Creation

Go to Masters->Digital Menu->Menu- Click on Create Menu


Enter the Name of the Menu, the description and click on Save. There will be a message that the Menu is created successfully.


 

The name, description and status can be edited by clicking on the Edit and making the required changes



Step 2: Map the Menu to the required location

Go to Masters->Digital Menu->Menu v/s Location

 

 

The list of locations will be displayed. Click on Edit to map the menu to the required location

 

 

 

Choose the menu or menu's and click on Update to map the Menu to the Location

 

 

Step 3: After the Menu is created and mapped to the locations, the Items and categories have to be mapped

Go to Masters->Digital Menu->Menu v/s Item

 

 

 

Choose the Location, Menu created and map the items and the categories by marking as Available against the item and click on Update

 

 


Step 4: QR code generation

Go to Masters->Digital Menu->QR code Generation


 

To Generate the QR code , Choose the location, Order-type and Table and click on Generate

 

 

Scan the QR code from here

 

Step 5: Once the QR code is scanned by the user and giving the name and mobile number details an approval will be sent to the POS to accept the code from the table.

Note: If in sales configuration->Require table approval on contactless order is yes  ->Then will notify to accept the table approval


 

 

Go to Table request->Click on Accept to proceed

 


If table request approval not required 

Kindly Go to settings->configuration->sales configuration->Require table approval in contactless order should be as "No"->update.


Note: If disable the table request approval , then need to re generate the QR code for tables


 

 

If need Multi-language support on contactless order after scanning the qr code.

Go to settings->configuration->sales configuration->Require Multilanguage support on Contactless orders as yes ->update.
