Customer vs Item

Purpose: Need to check the document with topic. The Customer vs Item feature in the TruePOS Customer Module allows you to map specific items to individual customers. This feature enables targeted pricing, discounts, custom SKUs, and shelf capacity management for better inventory and customer relationship management.

Steps to Configure Customer vs Item  

  1. Navigate to the Customer Master Module:

 

 

  1. Select Customer vs Item:

    • Click on the Customer vs Item option from the module menu.

  1. Choose the Customer:

    • From the list of customers, select the customer for whom you want to map specific items.

 

 

  1. Select the Item:

    • Search for and select the item you want to map to the chosen customer.

  1. Add Discount Percentage (Optional):

    • Specify a discount percentage if you want to offer a special discount to the customer for this item.

  1. Add Customer SKU (Optional):

  • Each customer can have a unique SKU assigned to specific items in your inventory.

  • For example, your internal item code for "Red Apple (1kg)" might be "APL100", but a customer refers to it as "CUSTAPL001." Using this feature, you can map your internal SKU to the customer’s preferred SKU.

  1. Set Shelf Capacity (Optional):

  • Specify the shelf capacity (maximum quantity of items) for each product.

  • For example, the shelf for "1L Milk Packets" can hold a maximum of 50 units.

 

 

 

  1. Save the Configuration:

    • Click on the Save button to finalize the mapping.

1. Can I assign multiple items to a single customer?  

Yes, you can map multiple items to a single customer by repeating the steps for each item.

2. What happens if I don’t set a discount percentage?  

If no discount is set, the customer will be charged the standard price for the item.

3. Why should I set shelf capacity?  

Setting shelf capacity helps manage inventory effectively by specifying the maximum number of units that can be stocked for a specific item.

4. Can I delete a customer-item mapping?  

Yes, navigate to the Customer vs Item section, select the mapping you wish to delete, and click on the Delete button.
