How to create a discount Coupon?
Use the Discount Coupon - Creation screen to create the Discount Coupon.
1. Click Sales >> Discount Coupons >> Discount Coupon - Creation to open the Discount Coupon – Creation screen.
2. In the Select Coupon Name field, press ENTER and select the name of the Discount Coupon created under Sales >> Discount Coupons >> Discount Coupon - Master. The discount coupons created as Coupon Serial Number - Generated under Discount Coupon - Master only will be shown in the list.
3. In the Coupon Value field, enter the value for the Discount Coupon.
4. In the Series Prefix field, enter a prefix for the Discount Coupon series.
5. In the Series Length[No. of characters] field, enter the number of characters you wish to generate for the Discount Coupon series.
Example: If you enter 6 in this field, the generated serial number will look like SD0001 (6 characters).
6. In the Starting Series Number field, enter the starting serial number of the Discount Coupon.
7. In the Series Count field, enter the number of discount Coupons you wish to generate.
8. The field Expiry validation required has a list of values. Press ENTER and select from the following options:
- YES - To set a validity period for the Discount Coupon
- NO - If validity is not required for the Discount Coupon
9. In the Valid upto[Enter date] field, enter the date up to which the Discount Coupon will be valid.
10. In the Valid for [No. of days from issue] field, enter the number of days for which the Discount Coupon is valid from the issued date.
Note: Validity can be set either for a particular period or for a certain number of days. You can not enter the days if the period is set and date if days is set.
11. Press F2[Generate] key to generate the Discount Coupon series.
12. Click Save or press F6 key to create the Discount Coupon.
