What is the use of discount Coupon Master?
Discount Coupon Master
Use the Discount Coupon - Master screen to define the name, discount type, serial number type and value for the Discount Coupon.
1. Click Sales >> Discount Coupons >> Discount Coupon - Master to open the Discount Coupon - Master screen.
2. In the Coupon Name field, enter the name of the Discount Coupon.
3. The field Discount Type is a read-only field. Press ENTER or F2 key and select from the following options:
- Amount – to set the discount value in amount
- Percentage - to set the discount value in percentage
4. The field Coupon Serial Number has a list of values. Press ENTER or F2 key and select from the following options:
- Generated – The serial numbers are generated for the Discount Coupon using the Discount Coupon Creation screen. The user has to enter the generated serial number at the time of redemption
- Manual – The user has to manually enter the serial number of the Discount Coupon used for redemption
- Not Required - Each coupon has a pre-defined value. Based on the bill amount, the user has to enter the number of coupons
5. In the Coupon Value field, enter the value of the Discount Coupon. This is not applicable if the Coupon Serial Number is Generated.
6. In the Min. Bill. Amt for redemption field, enter the minimum amount for redeeming the Discount Coupon.
7. Allow Excess Amount is a read-only field. Press ENTER or F2 key and select from the following options:
- YES - To allow the Discount Coupon redemption if the bill amount is lower than the cash value of the Discount Coupon. Any balance amount left in the discount coupon can not be encashed
- NO - The Discount Coupon redemption is not allowed if the bill amount is lower than the cash value of the Discount Coupon
8. The field Coupon Status has a list of values. Press ENTER or F2 key and select from the following options:
- Active - The coupon can be used for redemption
- Inactive - If you do not want to use the coupon further
9. Click Save or press F6 key to save the master record.
