Do you know how to purchase deactivate a product or set of products in the Item master

Purpose 

If any business owner wants to stop the purchase of the selected items for any of the following reasons:

The stock of those items has crossed the maximum limits.

The item is not available in market currently etc.

Then in this case you can use the option of ‘Purchase Deactivation’ in RPOS6.

In RPOS6 we can make the Item deactivate with the two processes:

• First we can make the single item deactivate 
• Then we can also make the items deactivate in bulk.

How to Deactivate the Purchase of Single Item in RetailEasy?

Step 1: Go to Inventory > Masters > Item Master.

Step2:  Now press ‘F5’ key to open the Product List.

Step3: Now select the product whose Purchase needs to be Deactivated.

Step4: Now go to ‘Other Details’ section & click on ‘Allow Purchase’ option & select it.

Info: If the option of ‘Allow Purchase’ in ‘Other Details’ section then you can follow the below mentioned steps:

Step1: Firstly go to ‘Manage’ Tab by pressing‘CTRL+F4’ key 

Note: This function key is from the default settings of the software. If you have changed the key settings then refer to that key. To know more about keys settings you can click here:

Step2: Now in Manage Tab, go to ‘Other Details’ head.

Step3: In ‘Allow Purchase’ option place a check-mark by using ‘Space Bar’ key. Click on ‘Apply’.

Step: 4 Click on ‘Ok’.

Step: 5 As you can see that the option got enabled, press‘F2’ key.

Step: 6 Select ‘No’ from the dropdown.

Step7: Click on ‘Save’.

Conclusion: In this way you can make the single item deactivate for Purchase, thereafter when you will create purchase entry then software will not show that particular item in Product List.

How to Deactivate the Purchase of Bulk Items in RetailEasy?

Step1: Go to Inventory > Masters > Item Master. 

Step2: Press ‘Ctrl+F3’ to open ‘Bulk Update’ option.

Note: This function key is from the default settings of the software if you have changed by the key settings then refer to that key.

Step4: In ‘Allow Purchase’ option, click on the drop-down Icon & select ‘No’.

Step 4: Select the field and press ‘Ctrl + C’ to copy the field.

Step 5: Press ‘Shift + Down Arrow’ button to select the field.

Step 6: Press ‘Ctrl + Shift + V’ to paste the values in the selected fields.

Step 7: Click on ‘Save’ to save the settings.

Click on ‘Yes’ to save the settings.

After the update is completed, the below popup will come and then we need to click on the OK button.

 

Conclusion:

 

In this way you can make the multiple items deactivate for Purchase, thereafter when you will create purchase entry then software will not show selected items in Product List.
