Do you know how to setup purchase and transfer UOM for a product or set of products in bulk?
Purpose: Conversion is used to convert from one unit to another, like from Pieces to Box, from Pieces to Cartoon etc.
Benefit:
Suppose you purchase items in Box or Cartoons and Want to sell in Pieces or in Box/ cartoon or transfer the items into different units you want. This Conversion option will help you do that.
Step 1: Go to BPM > Recipe Management > Conversion Master
Step 2: Click on Add to add a new conversion or click on Edit to update an old conversion master.
Step 3: In the Conversion Type field, enter the kind/category or sort or type of conversion required. For example: Kilograms, Grams etc. In the UOM/Packing Type field, select from the following options:
UOM - Select a UOM to define a conversion.
Packing - Select the type of packing for use. For example: a pizza can have a small, medium or a large packing box.
Click on the Save button to save the settings.
Benefit:
Use the Item Conversion Master screen to map the basic quantity of the item to the number of units. Different organization and business have various UOM for the business needs. This screen is used to map the basic volume/quantity and basic UOM of item to the volume/quantity and number of units pertaining to the business. For e.g. one business has one kilogram equal to one unit of measurement and another business has five kilograms equal to one unit of measurement according to the business needs.
Note: Use the Item Conversion Master for the item assembly or kit and for ingredient items.
Step 1: Go to BPM > Recipe Management > Item Conversion Price Bulk Update.
Step 2: Select the desired outlet from the list.
Step 3: Select the Desired items from the list and click on Apply.
You will see all the conversions associated with the items.
Step 4: Click on the CSV Filter to bring up the Import CSV to filter Data windows and click on the Download Template button to download the template file.
Step 5: Prepare the template along with price and save the same.
Step 6: Browse the date and click on Open to load the data.
Step 7: Click on the Import button to import the data.
Step 8: Check the loaded data and click on Save & Send.
To see the Conversion List, follow the steps:
Step 1: Go to MDM > Conversion Master > Conversion List
You can see the report with all the conversions.
Conclusion:
Using the Conversion options, we can easily manage our Purchase, Sales, Transfer Ours and Purchase returns with different Conversion types.
