Do you know what is the process of KIT preparation in RetailEasy?

What is the purpose of Kit Preparation?

Use Kit Preparation screen to specify how much kit item has been prepared. The required quantity in Kit Preparation depends on the kit item quantity and its ingredients. On saving the Kit Item, the stock of the corresponding mapped ingredient item gets reduced from the inventory.

 Kit Preparations gives the detail of number of Kit Item prepared and its ingredient quantity consumed.

Business Scenario: 

    If in a restaurant or a bakery when shop owner decide to make 10 pc. of cake for next day so they can use KIT Preparation screen and check for 10 pc cake how much ingredients are available and if any additional is required or not.

 

What is the process of Kit Preparation?
  1. Click Production > Recipe Configuration.
  2. A Kit Preparation screen is displayed.



  3. In the Code field, press ENTER. The kit item details are displayed. This screen has two sections -
    • Kit Preparation
    • Bill of material
  4. In the Kit Preparation section:
    • The Sl. No. field is a read-only field and automatically displays the serial number of the kit item.
    • The Code field is a read-only field and automatically displays the item code of the kit item.
    • The Description field is a read-only field and automatically displays the item name of the kit item.
    • In the field Qty, enter the number of kit item to order i.e. the quantity of the kit item.
      Note: When quantity is entered in Qty field, the same quantity is displayed in the Req Qty in Bill of material section.
    • The Selling field is a read-only field and automatically displays the selling price of kit item.
    • The Latest Cost field is a read-only field and automatically displays the cost price of kit item.
    • The MRP field is a read-only field and automatically displays the MRP of the kit item.
    • The Sales Tax% field is a read-only field and automatically displays the tax on the kit item.
    • The ROI% field is a read-only field and automatically displays the return on investment percentage for the kit item.
    • The Gross Profit% field is a read-only field and automatically displays the gross profit percentage for the kit item.
  5. In the Bill of material section -
    This section displays the details of the ingredients for the kit preparation.
    • The Sl. No. field is a read-only field and automatically displays the serial number of the ingredient item.
    • The Code field is a read-only field and automatically displays the item code of the ingredient item.
    • The Name field is a read-only field and automatically displays the ingredient item name.
    • The Req Qty field is a read-only field and automatically displays the quantity of the ingredient item.
      Note:       When quantity is entered in the Qty field in Kit preparation section, the same quantity is displayed in Req Qty field in Bill of material section.
    • The Packing field is a read-only field and automatically displays the unit of measurement for the ingredient item.
    • The Avail for Prep field is a read-only field and automatically displays the quantity available for preparation.
    • The Stock field is a read-only field and automatically displays the stock available for the ingredient item.
      Note:       If the stock is not available for any ingredient, it is displayed in red color.
  6. Click Save or press F6.



  7. A message is displayed for confirmation.
  8. Click Yes. A Kit Preparation number is displayed. Click OK.
