How to Apply default phone number for Quick Add Customers in ServeEasy?

Purpose:

 

In some scenarios, Customers are not willing to share their phone number for some privacy reasons or some of them are only one-time visits customers. Therefore, by keeping this in view, an additional scenario of default number has been added which can reduce the cases of adding random numbers to the Customer's Master. Whereas software will add any by default characters to the telephone field. 

Benefits:

1. Helps you in entertaining the one- time visit customer very easily.

2. No restriction of saving mobile number will be there at the time of saving bills for 'Quick Add Customers'.


 Business Scenario:

Suppose there is one business owner who doesn't want to keep the record of 'Quick Add Customers'. He just wanted to do the billing for them. Also, to meet all the requirements of 'Quick Add Customers', he's mentioning their mobile numbers randomly. In order to safeguard this, one configuration has been added. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the same:

 


Steps to enable the configurations

 

Step: 1 Go to Tools > Configuration Manager > Configurations.



Step2: Type 'Phone Number' & press 'Enter'.



Step3: Now select the configuration 'Apply default phone number for customer when they not give phone number' & press 'Enter'.




Step4: Select the configuration & place a check mark beside it.


Conclusion: This is how we can enable this configuration in ServeEasy. To check its working check the below-mentioned steps:

 

Step4: Now go to Sales > Bill Entry.


Step5: Click on 'Quick Add Customer'.



Step6: Load all the necessary items for that particular customer & save the transaction.


After that, you will have a pop-up 'Do you want to have default Mobile Number', click on 'Yes'. 


Now as you can see, the software has mentioned the respective by default mobile number into the sale bill & you can easily save this transaction now.



FAQ's:

 

Q.1 Will this configuration also work on 'Customer Master' or only for 'Quick Add Customer'?

Ans: No it only works for Quick Add Customer, reason being for Normal Customers we do need their contact numbers for the better customer relationship with them.
