How to cancel a Purchase Order in RetailEasy on-cloud?
If there arises a situation when you are not going to receive the stock or you don't
require the stock anymore you can cancel the Purchase Order. Purchase Order cannot
be canceled from the retailer's side if payment has been made for the
Purchase Invoice and if the goods have already been received.
Limitation: Once the Purchase Order is canceled it cannot be retrieved.
Benefits
Once it is confirmed from the supplier's side that you are not going to receive the stocks against the Purchase Order by canceling it you can come out of the legal commitment
When you don't need the items due to sufficient stock or the demand for the items drops you can cancel before the Purchase Invoice is prepared or when the vendor has not supplied the items
This feature helps optimum stock maintenance and go to alternate vendors when you don't receive stock on time
You can update the status which will help you to keep the Purchase Order for future or cancel it permanently
RetailEasy on-cloud allows you to cancel the Purchase Order permanently or to use it later when you don't require the items in the near future.
1. Click on Purchase >> PO cancel
2. The PO Cancel page is displayed where you have to load the PO Cancel page with
Supplier name and PO details from pop-up. Press F3 or click on Load PO
3. From the pop-up select the PO you want to cancel and press ENTER
4. The Purchase Order is displayed with the status 'Pending ' or 'Cancel'. Select 'Pending' to save the Purchase Order for the future or 'Cancel' to remove the item from
Purchase Order.
5. Press F6 or click on SAVE
To verify PO Cancel
Goto Reports >> Purchase >> Pending/Canceled Transactions >> Purchase Order Cancel
Canceled Quantity is 20 nos of 12 in Lenso alloy from ASM Enterprises which is can be verified from the Reports.
Purchase Order as a whole can be deleted by marking status as Cancel for all items.
