RetailEasy on-cloud lets you add the Departments of your store to your domain. Adding Departments to the domain lets you, group employees, at the time their addition to the domain. Adding Departments, indirectly helps you in building the domain access hierarchy by defining and limiting the menu access permissions of the employee.
How to create a Department?
Step 1: In the main tab of RetailEasy on-cloud, click on Master > More
Step 2: From the drop-down of the Tools section, click on Department
Step 3: In the Department screen, click on Add Department
Step 4: In the Create Department screen, fill in the fields of the General section and click on Save
Note: Refer to the field descriptions given below
Name & Short Name: Specify the Name and Short Name of the Department
Status: If the Department is currently active in your Retail Outlet/Store, mark Active. Else, mark Inactive. To delete a Department from your domain, mark the Status as Inactive
Step 5: A message confirming the successful addition of the Department appears
By adding the Departments of your retail store/outlet to the RetailEasy on-cloud domain, we can easily group the employees into their respective Departments whenever they are added to the domain.
