What are Categories in RetailEasy on-cloud (TruePOS)?
In RetailEasy on-cloud (TruePOS), item categories represent groups of items under a single title representing their common trait.
Examples of categories are Groceries, eatables, cosmetics, etc. Subcategories denote the items that fall under the categories. Examples of subcategories under the category "Groceries" are Pulses, Oil, Rice(s), etc. In a supermarket, these sub-categories can also be added to the category of "Food".
Why create Categories?
Creating a category helps in sales analysis, like what's more salable and what sleeps on your shelves. It also classifies the items in your store into relevant categories, this enables easy stock arrangement on the display racks.
