How to do Assembly Item Mapping in TruePOS ?

Assembly Item Mapping

 

Purpose

Assembly item mapping refers to the process of linking or mapping individual components or parts to create a final assembled product in a manufacturing or inventory management system

In inventory management systems, assembly item mapping is used to track the availability and movement of individual components or parts used in the assembly process. This information is critical for managing inventory levels, forecasting production needs, and ensuring that sufficient quantities of components are available when needed.

By mapping components to assembly items, companies can streamline the production process, reduce waste, and ensure that they have sufficient inventory to meet customer demand. This information can also be used to optimize inventory levels and reduce the costs associated with carrying excess inventory.

 Lets see how to map components or ingredient items for the assembly item in  Assembly mapping screen.

Menu Access: Click Masters > Item > Assembly

 

Note
: Adding Assembly item is a three-step function. After adding Assembly Items and its Components, Configure the assembly preparation details as Assembly.

 

Step 1: In item master with the Preparation status of "Assembly " item need to be created.

 

Step 2: In item master, Respective components need to be created for mapping the assembly, with preparation status of "Ingredients".

 

Step 3:Later, Configure the components or ingredients for the assembly item on the Assembly mapping screen.

 

To Configure an Assembly item:

Note : The "Product type" with the Serialized item will not be shown in the Assembly Mapping Screen.

 

Step 1: The Created item with Preparation status of "Assembly " will display on the Assembly mapping screen.

In Assembly Screen->Search with "Item code" to load.



 

Step 2: To map the ingredients , Against the Assembly item ->Click on "MAP" Button in the assembly listing screen.



 

Step 3:Specify the Assembly Item's " Config Qty"



 

Step 4: Click on "Enter" in Item code so that a new screen will pop up to search for the item.

 

Can we Search the item by Item code or Item name or Alias code or Ean code.



 

Step 5: Search for the Ingredients or Components to map to the assembly item.

 

 


 

Step 6:The Same Ingredients can be Mapped to the Multiple Assembly item on the Screen but the same item cannot be mapped for the same assembly item.

 

 


 

 

Step 7 : Enter the "Qty used"for Assembly,  Ingredients qty used for the Assembly item and Click on "Add" in the Assembly entry screen.



 

Step 8: After Mapping the ingredients items, Click on the "Save" button in the Assembly entry screen.


Mapping Assembly items in sales Bill
 

Step 1: Click Sales> Sales bill.

Step 2 : Type item code or item name or press Enter






Step 3 : Select the item name from the list.

Step 4: Fill selling quantity in Qty and press ENTER.

Step 5: See the stock status, if insufficient stock in the products assembled, can select a substitute and click the save button.




FAQ


1. Can we map the serial items in the Assembly screen?
Ans : No we cant map the serial items on the assembly screen.

2. Can we be able to add the stock for the Assembly item?
Ans: No we cannot able to add the stocks for the assembly items.
