How to import Area wise Tax for Items via Master Migration?

RetailEasy on-cloud lets the customers set different taxes for the same item in different locations.

RetailEasy on-cloud also provides the feature to upload the Area wise Tax for Items in bulk using the Master Migration option.

How to Import Area-wise Tax for Items via Master Migration?

 

Note: Before importing Area wise Tax, ensure that you have created the Taxes and Tax Areas.

 

Step 1: In the main tab of RetailEasy on-cloud, click on Tools > Master Migration.

 

 

Step 2: In the Sheet Generation section, from the drop-down of Select a Master, choose Item Outlet specific. Click on Load Config to configure the template for the sheet to be uploaded.

 

 

Step 3: In the Load Config screen, enable the required features by ticking the checkboxes under the Add to Sheet column. For mandatory features, tick the checkboxes under the Mandatory column. Now, click on Save Config and then Download CSV.

Note: Refer Column Value to know the valid entries for the fields.

 

 

Step 4: In the Save As dialog box, choose the destination of the template file and click on Save.

 

 

Step 5: Click on the downloaded file and fill in the columns.

 

 

Step 6: In Excel, after entering the data, the file appears as shown below.

 

 

Step 7: In the Upload Sheet screen, from the drop-down of Select a Master, choose Item Outlet Specific. Click on Choose File Path to browse and open the file, the name of the chosen file appears to the right of the field. Now, click on Upload File.

 

 

Step 8: A message confirming the successful data update appears. Click on OK.

 

 

Note:

Before updating the sheet, please ensure that the Columns attributes are also mapped to the Item Master.

 

How to eliminate errors?

RetailEasy on-cloud will help you identify the manual errors you have committed in the sheet automatically. You can check them in the Upload Status screen. On the occasion of receiving an error message, click OK on the error message box and go to the Upload Status section. Here are some possible errors and their remedies.

     Error: The Column titles on the downloaded CSV file are modified-Configuration error

Remedy: Do not modify the Column titles of the downloaded CSV file.

 

     Error: The entries do not align with the defined Column Values/The Column titles are not mapped to the Item Master

Remedy: Click Upload Status. In the Select a Master field choose Item Outlet specific from the drop-down. Click on Load.  Scroll to the right of the screen to see the Reason for the error.

Example: The error, Sales Tax Not Mapped indicates that the mapping with the Item Master is incorrect. We can fix the mapping in the Item Master screen and then upload the file.

 

 

     Error: The uploaded file is not in the CSV


Remedy: Convert your file to the CSV format and upload it.

 

Step 9: You can check the changes in the Item Master.
