Sales Return is made by a customer if the item is defective or the customer has ordered in excess quantity or the product has been expired. which will be accounted under sales return and will be adjusted.
How to do Sales Return?
1. Go to 'Tools' ---> 'Options' ---> 'Options'
2. Under sales, click 'Sales Return'. enable the option "Allow Sales Return to be adjusted", by pressing the space bar and then 'Save' it
3. Go to 'Inventory' ---> click 'Sales Return'
4. Keep the cursor in the 'Customer Code' column and click on 'Enter' and select the required 'Customer'
5. In 'Product Name' enter the product which you want to return and enter the quantity and then click on 'Deduct in next bill' and then 'Save' it
6. Go to 'Inventory' ---> 'Sales Bill' ---> enter the 'Customer Code' by clicking 'Enter' and choose the 'Customer'
7. Enter the 'Product Name' and other fields like quantity, rate and press 'F2'. A pop up will appear containing 'Sales Return' details. Select the required and the amount will be adjusted by pressing 'Ok'
8. Go to 'Reports' ---> 'Sales' ---> 'Returns' ----> click on 'Customer/Product Wise Return Analysis'
9. In that report you can filter the date to view the 'Sales Return' done
