How to mark an item as a free item in ServQuick?
Free items are used when business owners wish to give discounts or offers. For example, french fries can be set as a free item along with a burger combo pack. In that case, the cost is calculated for the burger combo alone and not for french fries that are tagged as free.
Benefits:
Business owners can make use of the free item feature to attract more customers to the restaurants.
It is used for making a profit out of slow-moving items. For example, if a drink is not making enough sales as expected, it can be tagged as a free item to increase the sales profit
With free items, customers gain trust, and it creates a trustworthy relationship between the shop owner and the customer
How to mark an item as free?
To mark an item as free, enable the corresponding configurations.
Step 1:
In dashboard, select Settings --> Configuration --> Sales Configurations.
Step 2:
Click on Enable free items. Now, we have enabled the configuration to offer free items.
Step 3:
On the home screen, go to Sales and select the items that are to be marked as free. Click on the "Mark as free" option to tag that item as free.
Step 4:
Now, the selected item will be marked as free during sales billing and the item cost will be 0.
Thus, we have marked the item as free along with other items the customer has purchased, with ease using ServQuick.
