How to send SMS & App notifications to your app users?

For any business, winning customer loyalty is essential. In this competitive age of e-commerce, businesses use different strategies to create & maintain their loyal customers. Two of the most effective ways to engage your customers are sending Push notifications SMS notifications. If your business offers a mobile app, you must send these notifications to your customers.


Now with OrderEasy, you can send push notifications as well as SMS notifications to your customers for selective events.
Events like...

A) New Customer Registration: Your customer will get a Push/SMS notification upon successfully registering in App.
Example: Hi Suraj, Thank you for signing up with Khushi Supermarket. Looking forward to serving you.

B) New Order Creation: Your customer will get a Push/SMS notification upon placing an order in the App.
Example: Hi Suraj, Thank you for shopping with us. Your order id is: 36 & your bill amount is: Rs. 879. Keep shopping!!

C) OrderStatus Update: Your customer will get a Push/SMS notification every time his order status is changed.
Example: Hi Suraj, your order with (order id: 36) is now Delivered. Keep shopping!!

D) Delivery Slot Reschedule:

- Hi {customer_name}, you order id - {order_id} is rescheduled to {rescheduled_day} {rescheduled_date} {rescheduled_time}


Steps to configure these Notifications in the Integration portal:


Step 1: Log in to the integration portal...




Step 2: Click on the Notification menu from the menu panel on the left side.




Step 3: To view sub-menus, click on the Notification menu.


Customer: Here you can send SMS & Push notifications to your app users. There are two separate tabs to configure each type of notification.



The Mobile Notification & SMS Notification tabs will view the default push notification templates for all available events. To customize the content template of the notification, click on the Edit button on the right side.



In the appeared window, click on the 'Customized Content' option. It will allow you to type in the customized notification template in the content box below using the 'Dynamic Keys'. You can see its live preview on the right side of your screen.









Once done... click on the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom.


Note: If the no: of characters exceeds 160, it will be considered as 2 SMS and the same will be deducted from your SMS balance. To avoid being charged for 2 SMS, we suggest you keep the characters count to 100 since the dynamic keys will constitute for 50-60 characters depending on the length of the customer name, order id and amount.



Broadcast: Here, you can broadcast/send any message, offer, notification, & festive wishes to all your customers at once or to some selected customers (optional).

Example:

A) Service: Order fresh fruits and vegetables and get them delivered at your doorstep within 3 hours."
B) Offer: "Weekend just became sweet. Buy 1 family pack of Amul ice cream get one more free. Only valid for today."

C) Festive Wish: "Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! I wish Lord Ganpati visits your home with bags full of happiness, prosperity, and peace."




i) SMS: Here you can prepare an SMS post & send it to your customers in bulk with just one click. You can also view the preview of your message on the right side of the screen.




1) Title: Give a title to your SMS template.

2) Content: Type in the SMS message content in the given text box, You can also see its preview on the right side of the screen.
3) Select Customer: From this LOV you can select whether you want to broadcast the message to 'All Customers' or 'Selected Customers'. If you select 'Selected Customers' one more text box will appear where you will have to enter those selected contact numbers separated with a comma.




Once all the fields are filled, click on the "Send" button to send the SMS to your customers.


ii) APP NOTIFICATION: Similar to SMS broadcast, App Notification is also be sent to your customers.




1) Title: Give a title to your App Notification.

2) Content: Type in the notification content in the given text box, You can also see its preview on the right side of the screen.
3) Select Customer: From this LOV you can select whether you want to broadcast the message to 'All Customers' or 'Selected Customers'. If you select 'Selected Customers' one more text box will appear where you will have to enter those selected contact numbers separated with a comma.
