Paytm tender is a mode of digital payment that can be used to get the bills paid and enable faster checkout to the customers. GoBill Windows is now ready to support the Paytm Tender.
What is tender?
Tender is the process by which the payment for the items that are added into the bill can be made with the mode of cash, cheque, UPI, credit/debit cards or combination of them. Payments in GoBill windows can be initiated using the Tender methods that are available for your business and is configured in your POS.
What is Paytm?
Paytm, which stands for "pay through mobile" is a digital payment tool that can cater the user to pay through UPI, wallet and cards using their mobile. Through its QR code, point of sale, and online payment gateway services, the businesses can provide mobile payment services to its customers and simplify the tender processes.
Paytm tender is now supported in GoBill Windows!
With the integration of Paytm into GoBill Windows, payments can now be made quickly by scanning the QR code on the tender screen or, on Paytm EDC machines, by swiping debit or credit card.
Pre-requisites:
- The GoBill Windows version must be V1.0.9.9 or above
- The Paytm integration add-on license in POS must be enabled in order to use the Paytm tender in GoBill Windows. If not, purchase a Paytm add-on from POS before integrating with GoBill- After purchasing the add-on, go to the integration portal to configure Paytm tender in GoBill windows
Steps to buy a Paytm QR/EDC add-on license in POS
Step 1: Open your RetailEasy POS >> Click on Help >> Click on About GOFRUGAL RetailEasy and select Add-on license option from the given menu.
Step 2: On the Add-on license screen, select the required Add-on and click the Try & Buy status to activate it. Once the license is purchased, status will get changed to Buy and activation status to Activated.
Steps to integrate Paytm tender mode with GoBill Windows counter:
Step 1: Login to the
Integration portal by entering the registered Email Id./Mobile No. and generate the password if you are new to integration portal. If you are an existing user, you can login using your credentials.
Step 2: After logging in, you could see the add-ons that are activated in your POS. Select Paytm Wallet for using QR mode or Paytm EDC Wallet for Paytm swipe machine(EDC).
Step 3: Enter the below details on the configuration screen.
a) For Paytm QR Configuration:
- In Select outlet menu, select the company name to which the integration has to be done
- The domain URL will be automatically loaded based on the outlet selected
- In Paytm EDC Merchant Id, Paytm EDC Merchant Key and Paytm EDC Terminal Id enter the details provided by the Paytm vendor
- In Till ID enter the GoBill Windows counter name with the correct letters, capitalization and symbols, as Till ID is case-sensitive
- Turn on the status and click save
b) For Paytm EDC Configuration:
- In Select outlet menu, select the company name to which the integration has to be done
- The domain URL will be automatically loaded based on the outlet selected
- In Paytm EDC Merchant Id, Paytm EDC Merchant Key and Paytm EDC Terminal Id enter the details provided by the Paytm vendor
- In Till ID enter the GoBill Windows counter name with the correct letters, capitalization and symbols, as Till ID is case-sensitive
- Turn on the status and click save
Step 4: To activate the configuration mapping, click the Activate button next to the specified register on the integration portal screen. The same can be deactivated by clicking on the Deactivate button for specified register.
Steps to get the bills paid via Paytm tender in GoBill windows
Step 1: Navigate to the tender screen after the sale.
Step 2: Select the preferred Paytm payment method in the tender screen - UPI-PAYTMEDC Tender/Paytm
UPI-PAYTMEDC Tender: Through this type of tender payments can be collected by swiping the Debit/Credit card in Paytm EDC machine
Paytm Tender: Payments can be done in this tender just by scanning the QR code using QR scanner (BHMI/UPI) on the mobile phone
To use UPI-PAYTMEDC Tender option
Step 1: Select the Paytm Tender option, a pop-up window similar to the one shown below will appear. The payment can be initiated by swiping the credit/debit card in the configured Paytm EDC machine
Step 2: On the bottom of the pop-up screen, the options to Cancel transactions (Esc) and Check Status (Alt+F2) will be available
- After initiating the transaction, it can be cancelled by clicking Cancel transaction (Esc) button
- If the payment status is not updated after the completion of payment in EDC machine, the payment status can be fetched manually by clicking Check Status (Alt+F2) button
Step 3: Once the payment is done, the transaction in the GoBill will be completed and bill will be saved automatically. If the payment is initiated from the Split payments screen(Multi tender payment), the amount received in the Paytm tender will be added to the Payments summary and the user can continue using other payment methods for checkout.
To use Paytm Tender option
Step 1: Select the Paytm QR option, a pop-up window similar to the one shown below will appear with a QR. Scan the QR to make payments.
Step 2: On the bottom of the pop-up screen, you can find two options, such as Cancel transactions (Esc) and Check Status (Alt+F2)
- After initiating the transaction, it can be cancelled by clicking Cancel transaction (Esc) button
- If the payment status is not updated after the completion of payment by the customer, the payment status can be fetched manually by clicking Check Status (Alt+F2) button
Step 3: Once the payment is done, the transaction in the GoBill will be completed and bill will be saved automatically. If the payment is initiated from the Split payments screen(Multi tender payment), the amount received in the Paytm tender will be added to the Payments summary and the user can continue using other payment methods for checkout.
Note: To use these Paytm tender options, the internet access is mandatory. When the device is offline, the transaction cannot be initiated or cancelled. instead the tender mode can be changed by exiting the Paytm tender by pressing the Go Back button.
