Steps to Create an Item Category
Step 1 : Go to Masters >> Item >> Item Category
Step 2 : To create a new category, select the edit button.
Step 3 : Specify Category head name.
Step 4 : Select "Active" or "Inactive" status from the list.
Step 5 : Choose "Yes" or "No" from the "Is Mandatory" list item.
Note :-
Yes - to specify that a grouping value (i.e., Category Value) is required for each item in the Item screen and that this category applies to all items.
No - to specify that a grouping value is optional in the item screen and that this category only applies to a small number of items.
Step 6 : Click on Update to Save the Changes.
Step 7 : Either log out, then re-login or press F5 to apply the changes made.
