Purpose
To perform a bulk update of item categories, we should utilize the Item Category Mapping screen. This feature allows users to efficiently update categories for a large number of items at once. For example, if a customer needs to update the category for 1,000 items, they can seamlessly manage it through this screen.

FAQ'S
1.We need to change item categories for a seasonal sale temporarily. Can we revert them after the sale ends?
Answer: Yes, you can temporarily change the item categories by uploading a new CSV with the sale-specific categories. Once the sale ends, you can revert to the original categories by re-uploading a CSV with the previous configuration. Always keep a backup of the original mapping sheet for easy reversion.
2. What happens if I leave a category field (e.g., Cat_3) empty in the CSV template?
Answer: If a category field is left empty, the system may interpret it as a null value, which can affect billing or reporting functions that rely on that category level. Review the CSV before uploading to ensure all necessary fields are completed. If certain items do not need all category levels, make sure this aligns with your store’s configuration rules.
