Item category mapping based on counter

Purpose:

If we have multiple floors in out store and each floor has different category of products in it like Groceries in 1st floor, Furniture in 2nd Floor, Textiles in 3rd Floor, in that case we can map the category based on the counters so only the items mapped will be displayed in GoBill.

Pre-requisite:

 While creating Category in Category Master make sure "Applicable for Mobile Device" is marked as YES 

category

Note: Categories will be displayed in GoBill only for Touch view and not for standard mode

Step 1: Open RetailEasy and go to Tools -> Configuration -> Categorywise Configuration.

Step 2: For Counter mapping press Enter or Double Click and map and Main Category to it and click on Save Button.

Step 3: Go to Sales -> Masters -> Counter vs Items.

Step 4: For Counter Name press Enter and select the ‘Counter’.

Step 5: In the Code Column Press Enter, the list of sub categories will be displayed, select the categories that we want.

Step 6: Press F6 or click on Save button.

Step 7: Open GoBill, enter Username, Password and click on Login.

Step 8: Expand the menu on the right side and click on Force Full Sync.

Step 9: Now enter the Username, Password and click on Login.

Step 10: Now we can see the Categories that we mapped for this counter and the Items under it, the other categories will be displayed but the items will not be listed for it.

Step 11: To make the category as Inactive for the counter go to Counter vs Items and click on Edit or press F4.

Step 12: Select the Counter, once category is loaded click on Status for the category and select Inactive.

Step 13: Click on Save button or Press F6.

Step 14: To Cancel the category mapping, go to Counter vs ItemsPress F4 or click on Edit and select the counter.

Step 15: Press Ctrl+Shift+F11 or click on Cancel and select Yes to cancel the category mapping.
