Making Inward With Packing Date

Making Inward With Packing Date

When the configuration is enabled and the item master is set, application will ask user to enter the packing date in inward screens like Purchase, Receipt Note, Opening Stock, Transfer In, Material Receipt, Kit preparation.

1. Here is a sample screenshot of the purchase screen where packing date input is asked.

The expiry date is calculated and shown in the screen.

Here is a screenshot for another item configured as Month Based.

2. In opening stock, user has to enter the packing date in the column provided in the screen as shown below.

3. To make inward with packing date less than the applicable range:

In order to make inward with packing date less than the applicable range, “Ask confirmation to allow calculated expiry date less than minimum shelf life” configuration has to be enabled as mentioned in step 1. This is useful if the retailer wants to intentionally make inward even though its calculated expiry date would not meet minimum shelf life condition. In this case, the application will ask one more confirmation message as shown below.

If user chooses “No”, then packing date will be asked again. On giving “Yes”, application will calculate the expiry date based on the given packing date.

In case the calculated expiry date is less than the current system date then application will block such entry by showing the below message.
