How to do Offline Setup

Purpose :- Enable uninterrupted billing operations in ServQuick by implementing offline functionality. This feature allows temporary storage of billing data in the absence of internet connectivity, ensuring seamless user experience. The goal is to provide a reliable solution that adapts to varying network conditions, allowing for smooth synchronization of data once online connectivity is restored. This enhancement reflects ServQuick's commitment to flexibility and user-centric service.

Pre-requisites :-
NOTE:
  • Offline Support works best in the chrome browser and is only limited to Sales billing.
  • Offline Tool for Windows works only on windows 8.1 or above. There are no restrictions on Linux and iOS platforms
  • Live stock should be disabled (settings>>sales configuration>>live stock) before switching to offline
  • Please ensure that you already have a open session before you switch offline
  • Please Do not refresh the page when you are switching offline or back online
  • Please ensure that offline setup tool is up and running before switching to offline
 

 
Steps need to be followed :- 
Please follow the steps given below for Windows:
On Linux and iOS Platforms, just download the exe and double click on it to run as it does not need any installation.
Step 1 :
To Start your offline Billing, Go to Sales screen and click on your profile. Click on "offline" menu, follow the on screen instructions
Step 2 :If you do not have the application downloaded, please click on the link to download the application. If you already have this setup downloaded, you can skip this step


Step 3: Click on Run.
Step 4 : Please follow the on screen instructions to install the setup.After Successful installation, the application will automatically start. Please do not close the application and proceed to next step.
Step 5 : Click on Re-Check now and a green tick will appear with the current running version. If it does not turn green, please make sure that the offline tool is running.
Step 6: Click on "Go offline"



 Step 7: Please wait for the setup to complete and do not refresh the page
 Step 8: Yay!, you are now offline. You will continue to operate online till you switch back to online.
 
How to Switch back to Online
Step 11: Once your network connectivity is stable, you can click on "Switch to Online Option". After you successfully switch back online, the bills made when you were offline would be synced back.

How to Remove offline Setup
On Windows :
  1. Right click on the  ServQuick offline shortcut from your desktop icon, and click on "Open File Location".
  1. Click on the "Uninstall ServQuick Offline Tool" icon and proceed with the on-screen instructions.
On iOS :
    1. Remove the "ServQuick Offline Tool" from your applications folder
 
On Linux :
    1. Delete the application setup as there is no installation is required on linux
 
How to set the Web print tool in Offline mode?
Make sure that the web print tool is installed, login with servquick credentials and the make sure that the respective printers are mapped before switching to offline. Rather than that thw web print tool doesnt require any configuration while swtiching to offline billing.

Should the setup be done every time when I go Offline ?
Ans. No, once the offline tool is installed, you can just run the offline tool and click on "Go Offline" whenever you want to go switch to offline.
 
Does tablet support offline billing
Ans- Yes, tablet supports offline billing.
 
Does is automatically switch to offline in case of a network drop ?
Ans- No. Please make sure you manually switch to offline in case of a network drop.
