Product Types for Seed Items

Purpose:

The purpose of using a matrix item in RetailEasy Fertilizer business in POS for trading seed items is to be able to maintain all brands of a particular seed in one item itself in the master entry. This is beneficial because seed items are manufactured by different companies with different brand names, and it would be cumbersome to create a separate item for each brand. By using a matrix item, you can simply create one item for the seed type, and then specify the different brands in the master entry. This makes it easy to track inventory and sales of all brands of a particular seed.

Benefits:

• Easier inventory management: With a matrix item, you can track inventory of all brands of a particular seed in one place. This makes it easy to see how much inventory you have of each brand, and to reorder when necessary.

Steps to process for Product Types for Seed Items:

Step 1: Go to Inventory > Masters > Items

Note: If store is getting the seed item supply from a single brand and of same category attribute (size, weight, etc.) so then entry can be done in Standard Item as well.
