In your Daily production process, You may have to pre-process(prepare) the amount of Bulk item that has to be picked for the repack production on the day. In one such case, you might end up picking up a sack of Bulk products and might not consume the whole quantity of it for the repack. For Bulk products like tamarind and rava etc., Once the sack is opened, it cannot be sealed to be fresh for a longer period of time which might lead to wastage.

In such cases, Making The Eye around the overall repack quantity of the variants nearer to the Sack size of the Bulk Product would help us to prevent such wastage.

Bulk Sack Size

The Bulk Sack Size tab in the production page enables to set up the bag size as the Sack UOM for the Bulk Items. When the Sack UOM is set up for the Bulk product, The Eye tries to round the repack recommended quantity summing up all the variants to the nearest sack size possible.

You can bulk upload in this configuration, By preparing a CSV sheet with two columns,

• purchase_item - Item code of the bulk product.
• sack_uom - the sack size of the bulk product.

And compress it to a .zip file and upload it for the configuration to apply.

To consider the Sack UOM's setup for the Bulk along the forecast, You should also turn on the configuration in System Levers called REPACKAGE CONSIDER BULK SACK UOM FOR PROCESSING

For the Bulk items with the sack UOM’s setup, The Eye tries to recommend the quantity of the repacked variants to consume the whole of the sack as much as possible.

The Increase or decrease in the recommendation due to the sack sizes is reported on the repack planner as well as orders.
