Transaction Prefix Settings

Purpose: The main purpose of the Transaction prefix settings is to have a unique invoice number for each year. And also, if two branches have same GST No, it will create more problems during the filing and E-invoice generation. In order to avoid the duplication in the E-Invoice and GST filing, we need to create the unique transaction prefix. 

Here are the steps below for creating transaction prefix:

Step 1:  Click on Tools--Options--Options.

Step 2:  In the Business Configuration Window---Under Masters Setting--->Click on General Settings---Search for the Option "Generate Unique Transaction Wise Prefix" which is 62nd option and Enable that option.

Step 3:  Then Click on Utility--Click on Transaction Prefix Setting. This menu will show only when the above mentioned option is enabled.

Step 4: Open the Transaction Prefix Settings Window, there you can see list of transaction types for which you wanted to set the prefix. Here select the Sales and Click on Load.

Step 5:  Once the Transaction type is loaded, Select the status as Active against the Name and Under the Delimiter, you can select it as Non or you want to set Slash, you can click on that and click on Save.

Step 6: Once the changes is done, click on Save. It will show the Pop-up as "Are you sure you want to Save" Click on Yes, where you will not be able to edit or delete this template if the transaction is made.
