Session management in GoBill windows

What is Session Management in GoBill Windows?

Session Management is to manage user-wise cash inflow and outflow in the billing counters. It captures all transactions that result in direct cash flow to provide a detailed summary of each session.

For Example, Cash sales, Cash Out, Cash refund, Closing cash, Shortage are captured and will be shown in the session summary.


Benefits of Session Management:

  • Session Management prevents mishandling of cash at the billing counters and eliminates cash discrepancies completely

  • Acts as a shift manager by recording the login and log-off time of each user

Note: Session Creation is mandatory for billing in Gobill

Steps to use Session Summary:


Step1: Go to Menu on the left corner and click on Session.




Step 2: Click on Create and enter the Opening Cash.



Step 3: If want to take the cash out for tea, snacks or other expenses click on Cash Out and enter the amount with a reason to have a track.




Step 4: At the day end to close the session, go to Session and click on the Close Session button and enter the Closing Cash.


You can also enter the Cash Denomination for the closing amount. To enter the cash denomination, the "Cash Denomination Required" button has to be toggled.




The detailed session summary of each session will be available in the sessions menu. You can also print the summary by clicking on the print button on the top right.




To view the Session Report in POS

Go to Reports -> Sales-> Sales and SR register. You can view the session reports of each counter.




Session Management acts as a secondary surveillance to track the entire cash flow during the session and safeguards your profits and investments.
