What is Session Management in ServQuick?

Session Management is used for tracking the cash that is present in the drawer. Before starting the sales, a session is opened. The sales made after opening the session are calculated. When the session is closed, the overall sales that happened during the session are calculated and matched with the amount that is present in the drawer.

 

Benefits of Session Management:

 

  • The cash collected in the drawer can be cross verified with the sales made during the session.

  • It helps in avoiding thefts.

  • Reduces the manual verification of cash.

  • Helps in managing the employees' shift and indicates the person accountable for cash in the drawer.

 

How to open and close a session in ServQuick?

 

Step 1:

 

On the home page, navigate to Sales--> Sessions.

 

 

Step 2:

 

Click on Add session to open a new session.

 

 

Note: You cannot open a new session when another session is active. You have to close the previous session to add a new one.

 

Step 3:

 

Enter the opening amount (amount present in cash drawer) and click on Done.

 

 

Step 4:

 

You will get a confirmation message for the amount entered. Click on Confirm.


 

 

Now the session has been opened and the transactions can be made.

 

Step 5:

 

To close a session, choose the session you want to close and click on Close Session.

 

 

Step 6:

 

Enter the amount in the drawer while closing the session and click on Done.


 

Step 7:

 

You will get a confirmation message to confirm the amount that you have entered. Click on Confirm.

 

 

Step 8:

 

Once the session is closed, the session summary will be displayed. The session summary contains,

  • User - this contains the user mail id who was active during the session.

  • Time - that displays the start and end time of the session.

  • Branch - this field contains the location name where the session was opened.

  • Net Sales - contains the total amount of sales that were made during the session.

 

Hence, the transactions can be tracked seamlessly with the help of session management in ServQuick.
