Formula Configurations
The setting of formulas for sales, purchases, and transfer transactions is possible.
A list of predefined formulas that are widely used in the retail industry is available in True-pos.
Step 1 : Go to Tools >> Formula >> Formula Configuration
Step 2 : Click Edit or Add New option to choose a predetermined formula from the LOV in the Formula Name field.
Step 3 : Choose the function where the formula has to be applied from the Formula Category.
Step 4 : Specification of Formula category :
Sales :- Applying a formula to sales operations.
Purchase :- Applying a formula throughout the purchase process
Transfer :- Applying a formula during a transfer in or transfer out process.
Step 5 : Choose YES to make tax inclusive and NO to make tax exclusive in the Tax Inclusive field.
Step 6 : Pick the formula caption from the Caption area.
Step 7 : If the selected caption has a good or negative impact, it is indicated in the +/- area.
Step 8 : For instance, a discount caption in sales shows " -" since the discount negatively impacts sales activities.
Step 9 : Choose the base value or base point for the formula's calculation in the Base box. Examples of base values for formula calculation are MRP, Selling rate, and Amount.
Enter the actual formula in the Formula Calculation box.
Step 10 : Depending on the type of formula required, select or deselect Percentage, Affect Profit, Add To Tax, Part of Rate, Affect Total, and Extra Tax.
