Session management is a feature in Servquick which helps to track cash in the drawer. This also helps to avoid theft in the store by managing sessions effectively.
Session also help in managing shift for employees and having clear accountability of cash in drawer.
Purpose - The purpose of session management in cash settlement is to ensure that all cash transactions are accurately recorded, processed, and accounted for, while also providing a level of security and accountability for the employees responsible for handling cash.

Steps -
Step 1: Go to Sales->Sessions
Step 2: Click on Add Session
Step 3: Choose the Location name and click on Next
Step 4: Enter the Amount (opening balance) for that particular session and click on Done. Opening amount is the amount present in the cash drawer while starting a session
Session is closed successfully .You can check the Transaction summary of Sales and Refunds
Once the session is closed, there will be a Session summary with the details. The session summary can also be printed if required
The Sessions summary screen displays fields User, Start time, End time, Branch, Net sales, Opening cash, Closing cash
- The User field contains the name of the user active in this session
- The Start time contains the start time and date
- The End time contains the status of the session
- The Branch contains the name of the branch in which the session is open
- The Net sales contains the total amount arrived from sales and refunds
- The Opening cash contains the opening cash amount specified at the start of the session
- The Closing cash contains the closing amount specified at the end of the session
