Centralized Tools Configuration in Gofrugal HQ enables Head Office (HQ) users to centrally manage and standardize tool and utility configurations across all connected outlets.
Instead of configuring operational tools individually at each store, HQ can define, control, and enforce settings from one central location, ensuring consistent behavior, compliance, and operational efficiency across the entire retail chain.
This capability is a key part of GOFRUGAL’s chain management architecture, where HQ functions as the central control tower for all outlets.
How Centralized Tools Configuration works
To use Centralized Tools Configuration works in Gofrugal HQ:
Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Centralized Tools Configuration.
Click the Add button.
Choose the Group Type as Tools Configuration Group.
Choose the Create Type as Create a normal group or Create group from existing outlets.
If you select Create Type as Create a normal group, enter the Group Name and click the Create button.
A confirmation popup will be displayed on the screen, indicating that the Tools Configuration Group has been created successfully in Gofrugal HQ.
If you select Create Type as Create group from existing outlets, choose the outlet name from the list, enter the Group Name, and click the Create button to proceed.
A confirmation popup will appear on the screen, indicating that the Tools Configuration Group has been created successfully.
Note:
The Create group from existing outlets option is mainly used during standalone-to-HQ upgrades, where an existing outlet is already available. The tools configuration from that outlet can be copied and used as the master configuration for all other outlets.
Map configuration to outlets
From HQ, you can decide how the tools configuration is applied:
Apply the same configuration to all outlets
Apply it only to specific outlet groups (for example, franchises, company-owned stores, or warehouses)
This provides HQ with flexibility, while still maintaining centralized control over outlet behavior.
Sync configuration to outlet POS
After mapping the configuration, sync it to outlets using one of the following options:
Click Send to Outlet to push the centralized tools configuration to all outlets
Click Send Selected Outlet to push the configuration only to the selected outlets
Once synced, the outlets will start following the HQ-defined tools configuration, ensuring consistent operations across the chain.
Select the required HQ Group from the list.
Tick the checkbox under the Select column for the required entry.
Click the Send button to apply and push the configuration.
A confirmation popup will be displayed on the screen, indicating that the configuration has been sent successfully.
Enforced at Outlet Level
With Centralized Tools Configuration in Gofrugal HQ, configurations defined at HQ are strictly enforced at the outlet level:
Outlet users cannot override HQ-defined tool settings.
All outlets operate using the same approved configuration.
