Q1. While  IRN generation facing error as "the hsn-998822 does not belongs to goods"?


Answer:IRN generation fails when an item is created with Product Type = Standard (Goods) but is mapped with HSN Code 998822, which is a Service HSN Code. This mismatch causes the IRN validation error.

To generate the IRN for the current invoice, edit the item and map an appropriate Goods HSN Code, then regenerate the IRN.

For future service transactions, ensure the item is configured as follows:

  • Product Type: Service Component (General Tab)
  • Preparation Status: Serviceable (Packing Tab)
  • HSN Mapping: Appropriate Service HSN Code

Following this configuration will ensure successful IRN generation and prevent similar validation errors.
