How to Mark an Item as Free in Delivery Note?
Purpose: Marking an item as free in delivey note is often used for promotions, such as "Setting the offer, Get One Free"offers, or to incentivize customer purchases. It can also apply to complimentary items given as gifts, samples, or replacements. This helps increase of sales, and customer satisfaction initiatives efficiently.
Steps to mark an item as free in Delivery Note,
Either scan the Item Code or press ENTER in Code to select from the pop-up screen.
Specify the Qty that you want to give freely.
Press CTRL + F4 in Delivery Note
The Bill Qty becomes Free Qty and the Net Amount becomes '0'FAQ:
Q1)Is free item possible on the Serialized items?
Ans: Serialized Items cannot be marked as free.
Q2)I would like to check the free qty which i have given for the customers. How do I check the same?
Ans: You can check the free qty in "Bill wise Item wise sales detail" Report and if the respective column "Free qty" have not enabled in the respective report. Kindly refer the help link Report settings (refer the step 1 for the same and enable the respective "Free qty" column" and fetch the report and check).
