Barcode based offers using Datewise Pricing for Apparel Business.

Barcode based offers using Datewise Pricing for Apparel Business.

In an apparel business, customers cannot currently run barcode-based offers, as this functionality is not available in the HQ Offer Management module. To address this, an alternative solution exists through the Datewise Pricing feature at the outlet POS level, which requires an add-on license.

By default, datewise pricing involves scanning barcodes to set prices, which is impractical for HQ users due to the difficulty of connecting and scanning barcodes directly. Instead, the system offers an Excel Import option within the Date Wise Pricing interface. Users can create an Excel file listing barcode values and their corresponding rates, then set up the datewise pricing on the Outlet Server and import this file across all outlets individually by connecting the systems remotely.

Note: This feature must be configured at the Outlet POS level or through the Centralized Tools Configurations.

To carry out this operation.

  1. Make an excel file with the Barcode value and current rate of the item.

  1. Open the Datewise Pricing screen and put the From Date, To Date, Operator, Sales man commission, Sales man commission value, Barcode type, Caption, Based On, and Barcode Value except the Margin [%].

  2. Press Shift + F1 Import.

  1. Click the ... browse button.

  2. Select the excel you have created, then click Open button.

  1. Click the Ok button.

The barcodes will all be loaded on the screen.

  1. Put the Margin [%].

  1. Press the F6 Save button to save the entry.

  2. Click the Yes button.

  1. Click the Ok button.

Note that after scanning the item, the datewise pricing rate was loaded.

  Important Configurations:

  • Enable datewise pricing.

  • Don't calculate discount based on item master discount value for line items applied selling rate based on datewise price option.

Result:

  • Do not consider datewise price applied item rows to calculate loyalty points.
