Item Master - Out Attribute

 

Purpose:

To collect more details in terms of optical like Spectacles - 1 (Left & Right for cylindrical, Sphere, AS, PD), Spectacles - 2 (RE, Distant Vision, for cylindrical, axis or Sphere either for right eye or left) these are referred as Out Attribute.

  • To ensure that the correct lenses are ordered for each spectacle. For example, if a customer orders a pair of spectacles with a prescription of -2.00 distant vision in the left eye and -3.00 distant vision in the right eye, you will need to make sure that the lenses that you order are also -2.00 distant vision in the left eye and -3.00 distant vision in the right eye.

  • To track the history of each spectacle. For example, if a customer returns a pair of spectacles because they are not comfortable, you could see the original prescription and the lenses that were ordered. This information can be helpful in determining the cause of the discomfort and in resolving the issue.

  • To help you market your products. For example, if you sell a variety of spectacles with different specifications, you can use the Out Attribute to track the popularity of each specification. This information can be helpful in determining which products to stock more of and which products to discontinue.

Steps to process for Item Master - Out Attribute:

1. Spectacles - 1

Step 1: Go to Inventory > Masters > Items


Step 2: Item Master screen will appear. Go to the Gen tab and add an item name.

Step 3: Go to GST tab and select the GST Tax % from the LOV.

Step 4: Go to Misc tab and choose the Spectacles from the Add. Out Attribute. Save.

 Step 5: Go to Sales > Sales Bill 

Step 6: Load the Item.

Step 7: Attribute screen will appear. Fill in with details as per doctor prescription and select Ok.

Step 8: Click 'Save' function key. Tender screen will appear. Select the Payment mode and click Save.

2. Spectacles - 2:

Follow the same process as above:

Step 1: In Item Master screen. Go to the Gen tab and add an item name.

Step 2: Go to Misc tab and choose the Spectacles - 2 from the Add. Out Attribute. Save.

Step 3: Go to the Sales entry screen. Load the Item. Attribute screen will appear. Fill in with details and select Ok.

To check the Out Attribute in Reports:

Step 1: Go to Reports > Sales > Analysis > Sales Detail - Attribute Wise

Step 2: Sales Detail - Attribute Wise screen will appear. Click on Item Name and check for details.

Step 3: Scroll right and check for the Out Attribute.
