 Manual Indent based on Load All Items 

 

This document explains the configuration and usage of the Manual Indent feature when set to Auto Load All Items. This setup allows users to auto-load all items in the indent screen and generate indent quantities based on the selected date's sales and stock data.

Business Configuration  

Steps to enable this feature:

  1. Navigate to Tools > Configuration > Business Configuration.

  2. Enable the setting: Manual Indent based on Auto Load All Items.

Once enabled, the system will automatically list all items in the Manual Indent screen.

Purpose  

This configuration helps users efficiently generate indent quantities by comparing sales and current stock quantities based on a selected data.

Steps to Use the Manual Indent Screen  

  1. Open the Purchase>>More>> Indent Screen.

  2. Click Add Indent button.

    3.Select the 'From Branch' and the 'To Branch' (Warehouse).

      4.Choose a Date to fetch corresponding Sales and Stock quantities.

5.Click Search Indent.

    

      6.The system will auto-calculate the Indent Quantity as:

  • Indent Quantity = Sales Quantity - Stock Quantity (based on UOM/Sub UOM Packing)

Advanced Filter Options  

To refine the item listing:

  • Show Zero Stock Items: Set to Yes to include items with zero stock.

  • Sort Rack Number Wise: Choose Ascending or Descending to organize items based on rack numbers.

  • Filter Options:

    • Brand

    • Category

    • Specific Item Use these filters to narrow down the list as per requirement.

UOM and Sub UOM Considerations  

  • Sales, Stock, and Indent Quantities will be displayed based on the UOM vs Item Mapping settings.

  • If Sub UOM (e.g., Pieces) is set as default, then all quantities will be shown in Sub UOM.

 

 

Based on the Selected Sub UOM, in Indent screen Packing unit will be displayed.

FAQ-

1.Why are some items not showing in the Indent screen?

Items may be excluded if they have zero stock and “Show Zero Stock Items” is set to No in Advance filter.

2. Why is the quantity shown in pieces (Sub UOM) instead of boxes (Base UOM)?
The display depends on the default UOM setting in the Item vs UOM mapping. If Sub UOM is not set as default, quantities may appear in Base UOM (e.g., Boxes).

3. Why is the indent quantity showing as 0 for some items, even though sales quantity and stock quantity are still reflecting values?

The indent quantity will appear as 0 for items where the calculated value goes negative.

For example, if the sales quantity is 100 and the stock quantity is 400, then:
Indent Qty = Sales Qty - Stock Qty = 100 - 400 = -300,
Since the result is negative, the indent quantity is shown as 0 instead.
