 Indent Cut Off Configuration 

 

Purpose:- In this screen, we can decide until what time an indent can be raised to the warehouse and also specific to items sku type(Put Away, Flow Through, DSD). This can be be done specific to location. For ex., if for Branch A cut off time is configured as 4PM for item sku type DSD, then only until 4PM indent can be raised for DSD mapped items.

 

The cut off time to raise an indent can be done in 2 ways based on configuration:-

1. Based on Item Sku Type.

2. Based on All Items(irrespective of sku type).

 

Steps to configure indent cut off time based on Item Sku Type:-

 

1. Navigate to Tools -> Configuration -> Business Configuration

 

 

 

2. Enable the configuration 'Indent cut off time validation on Item Sku type' and click Save.

 


 

3. Navigate to Purchase -> More -> Indent Cut Off Time Configuration menu.

 

 

4. The screen will list existing Active Branches and Distribution centres.

 

 

5. Also the 3 sku types(Put Away, Flow Through, DSD) displayed in item master will be listed with default values(HH-MM-AM/PM).

 

 

6. Set the appropriate values for the location against the item type and click Save button.

 

 

 

Steps to configure indent cut off time based on all items(irrespective of sku type):-

 

1. Navigate to Tools -> Configuration -> Business Configuration  

 

 

2. Disable the configuration 'Indent cut off time validation on Item Sku type' and click Save.

 

 

 

3. Navigate to Purchase -> More -> Indent Cut Off Time Configuration menu.

 

 

4. The screen will list existing Active Branches and Distribution centres.

 

 

5. The branches will all have default values(HH-MM-AM/PM).

 

 

6. Choose appropriate time for desired branch and click Save.

 

 

 

 

 

Steps to verify indent cut off time configuration in Auto Indent Touch Screen:-

1. At the time of raising indent in Auto Indent Touch Screen, the time is displayed and time based validation happens whether to allow to raise indent or not.

 

 

2. If incase the current time exceeds the cut off time then at the time of creating indent it will show corresponding error message.

 

 

 

 

FAQ:

1. What happens if I don't configure this cut off time?

Ans:- If the timing is not configured then at the time of raising indent the cut off time based validation does not happen.

 

2. What happens if I try to raise indent after cut off time?

Ans:- The system won't allow you to raise after cut off time for that particular day. Indent can be raised only if current time is less than or equal to configured time.

 

3. What time format does the screen support?

Ans:- As of now the screen supports only 12 hours format with AM and PM configuration.

 

4. Which time will be considered branchwise or item sku type wise?

And:- It works based on the configuration 'Indent cut off time validation on Item Sku type'. If configuration is enabled, then cut off time configured for sku type will be considered. If configuration is disabled, then cut off time configured for branch will be considered.
