Serial Number Out Attribute
Purpose:
In the Electronics business, each unique product is given a serial number to set it apart from all other products. Here the serial number is occasionally used for version control alone, while other times it is utilized for both version control and warranty control. So this attribute helps identifying a specific item/product.

Steps to configure for Serial Number Out Attribute:
Step 1: Go to Inventory > Masters > Items
Step 2: Item Master screen will appear. In Gen tab, mention the Item Name and Choose the Product Type as Serialized from LOV. Fill the details with Add Description, Serial Fields, MFR Name, Selling Price, MRP, Purchase Price & Landing Cost.
Step 3: Go to Misc tab. Click on Addl. Out Attribute and select Serial Number as an attributes from LOV. Click Save.
Step 5: Bill Entry Screen will appear. Load the Item and Serial Number Out Attribute tab will appear. Fill in the details with Serial Number. Click Ok.
Step 8: Click the Save function key. Tender screen will appear. Select the Payment Mode as Cash and mention the amount. Click Save.
Step 9: Invoice will be generated. Note the No. and click Ok.
To Check in Reports:
Step 1: Go to Reports > Sales > Analysis > Sales Detail - Attribute wise
Step 2: Sales Detail - Attribute wise report will appear. Check & verify the details of Item sold here.
Conclusion:
Serial numbers attributes distinguish the identical individual units and have many practical applications. Since these serial numbers attribute may be recorded and used to identify stolen or otherwise irregular goods, they serve as a deterrent to theft and counterfeit goods.
