Gofrugal HQ – Bulk Category Insert (Overview)
The Bulk Category Insert feature in Gofrugal HQ enables users to quickly create and manage multiple item categories in a single process. It is especially useful for businesses handling large volumes of categories, allowing efficient data entry either manually or through Excel.
Key Functions:
Bulk Creation of Categories:
Add multiple item categories at once by entering details such as Category Name (List Value), List Order, Online Applicability, Mobile Applicability, and Visibility.
Excel-Based Data Upload:
Supports copy-paste from Excel, making it easy to prepare and upload large datasets in the required format.
Flexible Deployment:
Newly created categories can be:
Sent immediately to outlets, or
Scheduled to be sent later
Centralized Management:
Ensures all category data is maintained at HQ and distributed across outlets uniformly.
To perform this process:
Open HQ and navigate to Support > Migration > Bulk Category Insert.
Select the required category from the list.
Enter the category name in the List Value field. Then specify the List Order, set Applies Online to Yes or No, Applicable to Mobile Device to Yes or No, and Visibility to Yes or No.
The following explains how to perform this using an Excel spreadsheet:
Open the Excel file and arrange the data to match the screen format.
Copy the data from Excel and paste it into the Bulk Category List Value Insert screen.
Note: You can easily copy and paste data from Excel. Refer to the notes section below the screen for guidance.
Click the Save button.
Click the Send To Outlets button to send the newly created categories immediately or click Later to send them at a later time.
Click the Close button to complete the process.
To verify if the categories have been created and synced:
Verify in HQ:
Open HQ and navigate to MDM > Attribute Master Management > Item Attribute Master.
Click on the attribute name Category.
Search for the keyword in the List Value column.
Once filtered, all relevant data is displayed on the screen.
Verify in the Outlet POS:
Open the outlet NetTrade and check the report. The Attribute Master will be displayed.
Navigate to Inventory > Masters > Category.
Check the Category Master to verify the newly created categories.
