On every page, a function key is used as a shortcut for a particular action. You can also customize the function keys based on your convenience, or with the default settings.

As an example, when a billing process occurs, searching for views bill, save bills, and hold bills will take more time, instead, by using a function key, you could easily enter the assigned keys for each function and do the job quickly.

A Guide to Modify Function Keys in RetailEasy7:

Step 1: Navigate through Tools -> Configuration -> Key settings

Step 2: Choose the page where the function keys need to be modified in the menu path. For example, let's modify the function keys on the Sales Bill screen.

Step 3:

1. The function keys are on the left side and the extra key that must be pressed before the function key is on the top.

2. To remove a function, select the option that needs to be changed and click the delete button on your keyboard.

3. Press enter to load the available keys (Refer to picture - 1), then select the one that needs to be modified.

4. Changed keys will be highlighted in blue. Click on save to continue using the modified keys. (Refer to picture - 2)
