UOM vs Item Mapping
 
UOM (Unit of Measure) is defined as the standard unit of measurements used when accounting for stock, and expressing them in quantities. For example :- KG, Grams, Unit, PCS, PAC, ML, Ltr, Box etc.
 
Enable UOM & Mapping of Items with UOM
 
Step 1 : Go to Masters >> More >> Tools >Master Configuration
Step 2 : Click on Edit option on item.
Step 3 : Now search UOM in search field caption and enable option of Base UOM, UOM
              conversion value, Sub UOM, Sub UOM conversion value
Step 4 : Click on save to save changes and Re-login
Step 5 : Go to Masters >> Item >> UOM
Step 6 : Click on Add conversion option to create new UOM
Step 7 : Enter name of UOM and alias name after that click on Save option.
Step 8 : Go to Masters >> Item >> UOM vs Item Mapping for mapping UOM with
               respective items
Step 9 : Click on Edit option for mapping
Step 10 : Put Base Volume/Qty, Base UOM, Sub UOM, Rate and select default UOM as
                per your requirement.
Step 11 : Now go to Masters >> Item >> Item
Step 12 : On the packing tab you can map Base UOM, Sub UOM & its conversion value
                 respective to that item.

1. What is the purpose of Indent in UOM vs Item mapping screen?

Indent in UOM vs Item Mapping -Based on the Selected Sub UOM /Base UOM , in Indent screen Packing unit will be displayed. For more info- "Manual Indent"
  • Sales, Stock, and Indent Quantities will be displayed based on the UOM vs Item Mapping settings.
  • If Sub UOM (e.g., Pieces) is set as default, then all quantities will be shown in Sub UOM.
