Quick Add Configurations:
Purpose:- The configurations present in the Quick Add tab allows to enable or disable functionalities in the Sales bill Quick Add module screen.
Steps to access Quick Add Business Configurations:-
1. Navigate to Tools -> Configuration -> Business Configuration
2. Under the Business Configurations, click on the Quick Add tab and all the configurations under this tab will be listed.
1.Account Group For Quick Add
There are three type of Accounts group for quick add to be posted as "Customers", "Other Customers " and "Third Party Finance"
Purpose- When customers are created using quick add option in sales bill screen, the customers details will be posted in finance and accounts under the ledger group name based on this configuration set.
When it is set as other customers in Accounts group for quick add:
If you create a sales bill in TruePOS using the Quick Add Customer option, the entry will be posted under the “Other Customers” ledger group in Finance and Accounts.
For example, if the customer Dhruv is created through Quick Add and a sales bill is generated in TruePOS.
If you want to verify the customer’s ledger group as follows:
Navigate to Finance and Accounts → Master → Customer Master.
Click View and search for the respective customer name.
In the details, check the Account Type, which will be displayed as “Other Customers.”
You can check the ledger group in accounts by navigating to Finance and Accounts → Reports → Grouped ledger .
And also by n navigating to Finance and Accounts → Reports →Financial Statements-->Parent and Sub Groupwise reports-->Trial Balance and Profit loss report/ balance sheet.
When it is set as Customers in Accounts Group for Quick Add
If you create a sales bill in TruePOS using the Quick Add Customer option, the entry will be posted under the “Customers” ledger group in Finance and Accounts.
For example, if the customer Chiyaan is created through Quick Add and a sales bill is generated in TruePOS,
you can verify the customer’s ledger group as follows:
Navigate to Finance and Accounts → Master → Customer Master.
Click View and search for the respective customer name.
In the details, check the Account Type, which will be displayed as “Customers.”
You can check the ledger group in accounts by navigating to Finance and Accounts → Reports → Grouped ledger
And also in navigating to Finance and Accounts → Reports →Financial Statements-->Parent and Sub Groupwise reports-->Trial Balance and Profit loss report/ balance sheet.
When it is set as Third party finance in Accounts group for quick add:
If you create a sales bill in TruePOS using the Quick Add Customer option, the entry will be posted under the “Third Party Finance” ledger group in Finance and Accounts.
For example, if the customer Vikram is created through Quick Add and a sales bill is generated in TruePOS,
you can verify the customer’s ledger group as follows:
Navigate to Finance and Accounts → Master → Customer Master.
Click View and search for the respective customer name.
In the details, check the Account Type, which will be displayed as “Customers.”
You can check the ledger group in accounts by navigating to Finance and Accounts → Reports → Grouped ledger .

Q1.What does this configuration do?
Ans:The “Accounts Group for Quick Add” configuration tells the system which ledger group to use automatically when a customer is created using the Quick Add option in the Sales Bill screen.
Q2.Why is the customer posted under the “Other Customers” ledger group?
Ans: This happens because the system uses the configuration set in Accounts Group for Quick Add, which defines the default ledger group for customers created via the Quick Add option.
Q3.Can the default ledger group (“Other Customers”) be changed?
Ans: Yes. You can modify the configuration in the Accounts/Finance settings to change the ledger group used for customers created through Quick Add.
Purpose-The “Customer Category for Quick Add” configuration is used to define which customer category will be automatically assigned to customers created through the Quick Add option in the Sales Bill screen reducing manual entry.
This configuration displays all the customer categories that have been created in the Customer Category Master. From this list, you can select and map a specific customer category to be used as the default for all Quick-Added customers.By default it will be mapped as "Walk in" for Quick Add customers.
Q1.What does this configuration do?
Ans:It ensures all Quick-Added customers are automatically placed into a specific customer category for consistent classification.
Q2.What categories appear in this configuration?
Ans: It displays all the customer categories created in the Customer Category Master, allowing you to choose from existing categories.
Q3.Can I map a specific customer category for Quick Add?
Ans: Yes. You can select and map any customer category from the available list to be used as the default for Quick-Added customers.
Q4. Where can we view the customer category mapped for customers?
Alternatively, you can verify it through Reports → Master → Customer Master Reports, where all customer details can be viewed.
Purpose: The “Same Address for Shipping in Quick Add Window” configuration is used to automatically copy the Billing Address as the Shipping Address when creating a customer through the Quick Add option in the Sales Bill screen.
Pre-requisite for the shipping column to be displayed
To enable the shipping column in sales bill screen for quick add, In Tools > Configurations > Business Configuration > Outward ,Show shipping details should be enabled.
Q1.What happens when this configuration is enabled?
Ans: When enabled, the system auto-fills the Shipping Address with the same details entered in the Billing Address, reducing manual entry.
Q2.Why is this configuration useful?
Ans: It saves time during quick customer creation, especially when the billing and shipping addresses are usually the same, and helps avoid data entry errors.
Q3.Can the shipping address still be changed manually?
Ans:No. When this configuration is enabled, the Shipping Address is locked to match the Billing Address and cannot be edited manually in the Quick Add window.
Q4.where we can view the shipping address of customer?
Ans:Go to Reports-->Master-->Customer and Recipient detail , there you can view the shipping address and details of customer.
Q1.What If show quick add customer as is mapped as “Current Location” ?
Ans-When a customer is created through the Quick Add option in the Sales Bill screen, the system will automatically assign the current location where the customer is created.
Q2.What If show quick add customer as is mapped as “Global” ?
Ans-When a customer is created through the Quick Add option in the Sales Bill screen, the system will automatically assign the customer as Global, regardless of the location. The Branch field will not be displayed in the Quick Add Customer screen.
Q3.What If show quick add customer as is mapped as “Both” ?
Ans-The Quick Add Customer screen will display the Branch field as a dropdown, allowing the user to choose whether the customer should be assigned to a specific branch or set as Global.
Q4. Where to view customer location details?
Ans: You can verify this by navigating to Master → Customer Master, searching for the required customer name, and checking the General tab where the customer location details will be displayed.
Alternatively, you can verify it through Reports → Master → Customer Master Reports, where all customer details can be viewed.
