GST Tax in Sales – TruePOS

GST Tax in Sales – TruePOS

In TruePOS, GST tax amounts applied to each item in the
Sales module are derived based on Item Settings and Tax Master Settings. However, the system also provides flexibility to modify tax settings during billing, depending on configuration.

TruePOS supports two types of tax as:

1.Inclusive Tax

2.exclusive Tax

1. Inclusive Tax

  • Definition: The selling price includes the tax.

  • System Setting: Tax Inclusive = Yes

Calculation:

Sell Price (without Tax) = (Selling Price * 100) / (Tax% + 100)
Tax Amount = Selling Price - Sell Price (without Tax)

2. Exclusive Tax

  • Definition: The selling price does NOT include the tax.

  • System Setting: Tax Inclusive = NO

Calculation:

Tax Amount = Selling Price * (Tax% / 100)

Example:

For the item ‘Perlier Chocolate Vanilla Talcum Powder 3.5 OZ’,
If the sell price is exclusive of 8.5% tax (Tax Inclusive = No),
the tax amount is calculated separately based on the exclusive formula.
