How to transfer stock from Headquarter to branch in RetailEasy OnCloud?
When there is a necessity to transfer goods between branches or from Headquarter (HQ) to branches we can use the Transfer In option in RetailEasy OnCloud.
Benefits
You can execute stock transfers between branches or from headquarters to branches to maintain optimum inventory using the Transfer In option, whereby you achieve precise accountability
You can update the item quantity with the actual number at the time of receiving the items in the logged-in branch (Current branch). Flexibility in receiving items based on the current requirement of the logged-in branch and availability of the "from" branch is achieved with Transfer In option
Let us consider a scenario where we need to transfer 5 nos of "Atta" from CS grocery store to branch Franchise_new using the Transfer In option of RetaiEasy OnCloud - Purchase menu.
Follow the steps below to execute the Transfer In process
1. Check the stock level in Franchise_new
2. Goto >> Inventory >> Stock Update Entry. The Stock Update Entry screen appears and
select the branch as Franchise_new
3. Select the item "Atta" and press Enter. The current stock level will be displayed. Make a note of it to verify the stock quantity after Transfer In
4. The current stock level for "Atta" in Franchise_new branch is 11
Initiate a Transfer out from Sales screen of 5 nos "Atta" from CS Grocery Store to
Franchise_new
Note: Before starting Transfer In process a Transfer Out needs to be done from the "From" branch. Refer Transfer out from Sales menu.
5. Goto Purchase >> More >>Transfer In. The Stock Transfer In screen appears
6. Enter the logged in branch as Franchise_New (1) and from branch as CS Grocery Store(2)
7. Click on the TO No. tab (Tranfer Out no.) and press Enter. The selected TO details will be
displayed
8. To receive the goods by Transfer In click on SAVE
Now 5 nos "Atta" are transferred from CS Grocery Store to Franchise_new by Tranfer In option of RetailEasy on-cloud.
To verify the stock transfer being reflected on present stock position
Goto >> Inventory >> Stock Update Entry.
The current stock position for "Atta" in the branch Franchise_new is 16 as compared to 11
before Transfer In. Thus 5 nos of "Atta" have been transferred.
View Tranfer In to note down Transfer In Number
Click on F7 View to view the Transfer In list.
The TI NO. (Transfer In No.) is 3. This number is used as reference to view TI in Reports.
To View Transfer In in Reports
1. Goto Reports >> Inventory >> Stock Movement >> Stock TransferIn Detail
2. The TI date is selected as 14-06-2022 and click on Apply
3. The TI executed for transfer of 5 nos "Atta" will be updated in Reports
4. The TO (Transfer Out) branch - CS Grocery stores and TI branch Franchise_new and the transferred item, Quantity and date are viewed from the Reports
Thus with Transfer In option of Purchase menu in RetailEasy OnCloud we can transfer goods between branches or from Head quarter to branches with precise accountability.
Note:
Transfer In once done cannot be canceled. But the same can be achieved by doing Transfer in from the branch followed by Transfer out to the headquarters from branch.
