How to update/change your app's name, icon & screenshots in the Play Store?

A) Steps to update/change the App name in the Play Store:


Step 1: Log in to your Google Play Console.

 

Step 2: Select the App.

Step 3: Select "Store Presence" from the Side Menu.

 

Step 4: Select "Store Listing" from the secondary menu.

 

Step 5: Change the Title in the "Title" Section.

 

Step 6: Click on "Submit Update" to save the changes.

 

 

Note: This will only change the app's name in the Play Store (in appearance). If you want to request the app name (post-installation) please do it using the 'App builder screen' in the integration portal. Refer to this help document for help. Once it is done raise a request for an app update.



B) Steps to update/change the app logo in the Play Store:

Step 1: Log in to your Google Play Console.

 

Step 2: Select the App.

Step 3: Select "Store Presence" from the Side Menu.

Step 4: Click “Add high-res icon” to add your app icon.

 

Note:
- It must be at least 512 X 512.
- This will only change the app's logo in the Play Store (in appearance). If you want to request the app logo (post-installation) please do it using the 'App builder screen' in the integration portal. Refer to this help document for help. Once it is done raise a request for an app update.


Step 5: Click on "Submit Update" to save the changes.

 

 


C) Steps to update/change the App's screenshots in the Play Store:

Step 1: Log in to your Google Play Console.

 

Step 2: Select the App.

Step 3: Select "Store Presence" from the Side Menu.

 

Step 4: Select "Store Listing" from the secondary menu.

Step 5: Under the 'Screenshots' option, there are different tabs, click on the desired tab to upload its screenshots. e.g.: In the 'Phone' tab click on the 'BROWSE FILES' option to upload the screenshots from your local drive.

 

 

Note:
i) screenshot image should be of JPEG or 24bit PNG format.
ii) min. length of any side: 320px and max. length of any side: 3840px.
iii) min. 2 & max. 8 screenshots are allowed for each type.

 All the above-mentioned changes will instantly reflect in the play store interface. But the change request for the in-app logo & name will take 3 - 4 business days, as even though we update the changes in the app & upload it on play store, it will only reflect after the play store approval.
