Purpose: This document provides an overview of Smart Reports, including their features and limitations. Additionally, it explains how to access Smart Reports from various platforms, allowing for flexibility in usage.

Benefits: Using GoAct can really make running a business easier because it gives you detailed reports that show information in both charts and numbers. It helps you see how your business is growing without any special training on using it. Plus, you can easily change the columns to fit what your business needs; you can even make pivot tables and customize your dashboards however you like.

What is GoAct Smart Report?

GoAct Smart Report is a web app that allows users to access it from anywhere they want. It has a user-friendly interface with dashboards that you can customize to gather all your favorite reports in one spot. Users can adjust their important reports, like changing columns and creating pivot tables, to meet their needs. Admins can log in from different systems at the same time without any issues, while other users, like sales and inventory managers, can access the app from any device, one user at a time. Keep in mind that the app needs to be connected to the server, so if the server is down or there’s no internet, you can’t use GoAct. Note, report access can be limited for individual users.

Learn about the different types of URLs in GoAct

GoAct generally provides two URLs: one for local access and another for public access. The local URL can only be accessed from the software itself and is restricted to the system on which the software is installed. In contrast, the public URL can be accessed from any system, even those that do not have the software installed.

In Local you can find GoAct from Tools -> Add-on products -> GoAct Smart Reports.

When in a public environment, you have to enter the desired URL in the address bar of the web browser: " [your customer id].true-order.com".

As an example, if your customer ID is 1576234, the public GoAct URL will be "1576234.true-order.com".

Limitations

If your system is not connected to the internet, you may access GoAct in Local mode. However, Public mode requires an internet connection.

Troubleshooting

If it is still not open, open GoAct Troubleshooting and start it.

• Go to Tools -> Add-on products -> GoAct Troubleshooter.

Which devices are supported with GoAct?

We can run GoAct on a PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile using any browser.

Limitations

On a PC or laptop, all report columns are visible due to the larger layout. However, on a tablet or mobile device, the number of visible columns will be reduced.

How to open GoAct

When you open any reports from a POS, it will redirect to GoAct automatically.

Additionaly, if you want to open the Smart Report, go to Tools -> Add-on products -> GoAct Smart Reports.

If you want to access the GoAct Smart Report from anywhere, any time (not from a POS), you need to enter the desired URL in the address bar of a web browser. The format, as stated earlier, will be: [your customer id].true-order.com

*Note: The user name and the password will be the same as the POS user name and password.
