In the Item Master Bulk Update screen, there is an Import button that allows us to load items using their item codes. After loading the specified items, we can make any desired changes directly in the Item Master Bulk Update screen.

If you want to update the GST percentage from 18% to 5% in bulk, follow this process to achieve that:

Step 1: Navigate to MDM > Master Reports > Item Master

Step 2: Click on the filter button, set the advanced condition as shown in the image below and then click on the "Apply" button.

**Note: The GST% are not filtered. After you click on the apply button, only the 18% GST will be listed.

Step 3: Click on the export button and then click on the "Export" button beside the "Export as xls" option to export the report in xls format.

**Note: You will notice that the Excel file has been downloaded.

Step 4: Now, navigate to MDM > Item Master Management > Item Master Bulk Update

Step 5: Click on "All Outlets" from the list and then click on the "Go" button.

**Note: If you have more than 1L or 2L items, you can directly click on the "Import" button instead of clicking on the "Go" button. This will eliminate the item loading time.

Step 6: Click on the "Import" button on the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Step 7: Click on the "Download Template" button and then open the download file.

Note: The downloaded file will look like the screenshot below. 

Step 8: Now, open the previously downloaded item master report file and then copy the item codes from the sheet.

Step 9: Paste the copied item codes from the previous sheet into the Item Master Bulk Update template file and then save it.

Step 10: Then again, open the Item Master Bulk Update screen and click on the "Import" button.

Step 11: Then click on the "Browse file" button.

Step 12: Then select the Item Master Bulk Update template file and click on the "Open" button.

**Note: You will notice the file has been selected successfully on the screen.

Step 13: Click on the "Import" button to load the file on the screen.

**Note: The items will be loaded like the screenshot below.

Step 14: Select the first-row item and change the GST% from 18% to 5% manually.

Step 15: Then drag the column width and make it big.

Step 16: Select the GST 5% cell and then press Ctrl + C.

Step 17: Click the blank space next to the GST Code. Refer to the image below for guidance. Follow the "Click here" indicator. Then, press Ctrl + V to paste the GST 5% into the entire column.

**Note: Notice, all the GST Code became GST 5%.

Step 18: Click on the "Update" button.

**Note: When the update is done, you will get a notification like the image below.

Similarly, you can change from 12% to 5%, from 12% to 0%, from 28% to 18%, and from 5% to 0.

*** Note: You can upload a maximum of 10,000 items at a time using the CSV import. If you exceed this limit, the screen may freeze.
