Kit Unpack

 

Purpose - Kit unpack is used to revert back the prepared kit item. If we feel like the Kit item is not of use, and to revert back the stock of the ingredient item, the kit can be unpacked. Kit unpack I also used when you have packed extra kit item by mistake.

Example - Consider a Assorted chocolate box Kit which you might have prepared prior hoping that it will make a huge sales. But When it doesn't sell up to the mark and you will feel that you want to unpack the chocolates in chocolate box, Kit Unpack is used.

 

Steps involved in Kit Unpack:

1 - Go To Inventory -> More -> Kit Unpack

 

 

 

2 - Select the location under which the kit need to be unpacked

 

 

 


3 - The list of all the kit items along with the following details will be listed out
 
* Prepared Kit item stock
* Total no of sold kit items
* Balance available kit item for sales
* Selling price of the Kit item
* There will be small eye icon under Action column where the ingredient items involved in preparing the kit will be displayed along with the quantity
 
If you have more kit items, then you can use the "Search Item" box for searching the required kit item

 

 

 


4 - Under the action column, there will be a small box icon, against each item. For whichever kit item need to be unpacked, click on the box icon.

 

 

 


5 - A confirmation Pop up message will appear, which will list out the ingredients involved in preparing the kit item. In order to confirm unpack, click on UNPACK. The kit item will be unpacked successfully.

 

 

 

 

 



Notes
Note: After the Kit Unpack, the stock of the kit item will be 0 and the stock of the ingredient item will be reverted.

 

Reports

 

The Kit unpack details can be checked in Reports -> Inventory -> Stock Replenishment -> Kit unpack report

 

FAQ's:

 

1) Can unpacked Kit be reverted ?

 

Answer - If you want to revert the unpacked kit, you have to prepare the kit again via kit preparation. Refer the link Kit prepare to prepare kit

 

2) If I have 100 Kit items, is it possible to unpack only 1 Qty instead of whole 100?

 

Answer - No, Kit unpack will be done for whole kit items. If you require other 99 items, then they is no need for kit unpack.
