Discount Coupon Master – Overview
The Discount Coupon Master in GoFrugal HQ allows businesses to create and manage discount coupons that can be applied during billing at the outlet POS.
Using this screen, you can define:
Coupon Name
Discount Type (Percentage or Fixed Amount)
Coupon Type
Applicable Purchases / Conditions
Status (Active / Inactive)
This feature helps businesses run promotional campaigns, offer customer incentives, and boost sales while maintaining centralized control from HQ.
How to Create a Discount Coupon Master
Follow the steps below to create a discount coupon:
Navigate to BPM > Customer Relationship Management > Discount Coupon Management > Discount Coupon Master.
Click the Add button.
Enter the required Discount Coupon Name in the designated field.
Select the required Discount Type from the list based on how you want the discount to be applied:
Amount – Select this option when the discount is a fixed value, for example, ₹10 off on the purchase of a product.
Percentage – Select this option when the discount is calculated as a percentage, for example, 10% off on the purchase of a product.
The Coupon Type field is read-only. The system assigns the type based on the selected configuration.
Available Coupon Types include:
Generated – Discount coupons with system-generated serial numbers.
Not Required – Discount coupons managed by coupon count (no serial number required).
Manual – Discount coupons with manually entered serial numbers.
Choose the appropriate setup based on how you plan to distribute and track the coupons.
Note: If the Coupon Type is set to Not Required or Manual, the Value field will be displayed. Enter the required discount value (Amount or Percentage, as selected) in the Value field.
In the Coupon Applicable for Each Purchase Of field, enter the minimum purchase amount required for the discount coupon to be applicable during billing.
The Status field is read-only. The system determines the status based on the coupon configuration and activation.
The available status options typically include:
Active – The coupon is valid and can be applied at the POS.
Inactive – The coupon is not valid and cannot be used during billing.
Ensure the coupon is in Active status before sending it to outlets for usage.
The Special Coupon Type field is read-only and is determined by the coupon configuration.
Available options include:
Normal – The discount coupon is a regular or general coupon.
Birthday Coupon – The coupon is applicable for customers on their birthday.
Anniversary Coupon – The coupon is applicable for customers on their anniversary.
Select and configure the coupon appropriately based on the intended promotional purpose.
Click the Save button to create and store the Discount Coupon Master.
Click the Send All to Selected Outlet button to push the Discount Coupon Master to all the selected outlets.
Click the Send to Outlet button to finalize and transmit the Discount Coupon Master to the selected outlets.
